SCALLYS MISSILE aka Rocky is probably one of the last true English old type National Hunt bred horses available to breeders.

Most NH bred colts are gelded before they race, unlike Flat bred racehorses and even most NH bred mares now have a dual (NH/Flat) pedigree.

His pedigree and conformation are a very rare find nowadays.

Rocky has outstanding straight paces, has an abundance of bone, excellent conformation, excellent feet and a temperament that is second to none.
He is an absolute gentleman in and out the stable, ridden and when covering in-hand.

He adds size and bone to lighter mares and quality to heavier mares.

His fertility has been 100% getting all his mares in-foal on their first covering.

His 2009 foals can be seen.

Rocky's 17.2hh grey sire Scallywag sired many winners in National Hunt Racing and was a leading sire of Point to Point winners. Scallywag also sired many Eventers and Show/Working Hunter winners.
Scallywag was a winner himself on the racecourse including a 3rd in the St Leger.

Rocky's dam Ariane was unbacked due to an illness as a foal, her sire Cruise Missile was an outstanding leading sire of Eventers also siring winners Show/working Hunters and of course National Hunt and Point to Point.
Cruise Missile's dam Polaris Missile, also produced Spartan Missile who came second in Aldaniti's Grand National. Polaris Missile was also a prolific winner over fences herself.

Ariane's dam Jarva successfully competed in BSJA, Working Hunters, PC and RC Horse Trials.
Her sire Xenocles was Advanced Dressage and Eventer ridden by Jenny Loriston-Clarke. Jarva's dam Nicaro was also an Advanced Dressage and Eventer.

Rocky's half sister Primitive Passion won as a yearling, 2yo and 3yo in In-hand Hunter and Sporthorse classes at The Royal, Herts County, East of England, Edenbridge and Oxted and The National Hunter Show including Three Reserve Championships 2008.
