We have registered Goldie as 'Joydens Glitterman' with the NPS as a British Riding Pony.
Goldie is a cross of my two favourite breeds...Thoroughbred and Welsh section B
His 16hh Thoroughbred dam is 'Sheezacista' (aka Cassie) who is the third foal out of 'Jarva' (my first horse as an adult and my foundation broodmare) Cassie is by 'Cisto' a former HIS stallion and sire of numerous Show Hunters and Eventers. Jarva was by Xenocles (Jenny Loriston-Clarkes Advanced Eventer/Dressage stallion) out of Nicaro also an Advanced Eventer/Dressage mare.
We lost Jarva aged 34yo on 4th November 2008, she was never lame and still sound at that great age even after several foals and a competition career that included BSJA to Foxhunter level, Affiliated Working Hunters, Pony Club/Riding Club Horse Trials, Hunting with The West Kent and schooling with Point to Pointers as a lead to the fences.
Cassie had a great future ahead of her as an Eventer but was sadly kicked out in the field resulting to a broken leg ! Luckily after a successful operation and a big metal plate in her elbow she recovered and is sound...however I decided not to compete her just in case.
Goldie's sire is the lovely 12.1hh Welsh Section B pony 'Kalevan Mystic Pride' aka Sunny, he has sired many wonderful childrens ponies and several In-hand Champions and Ridden Winners.
As a 7yo child my pony was a wonderful Welsh Section B (also called Goldie)by Criban Victor.
As a teenager I rode a fantastic TB x Welsh sec B called 'Housemaster'....... so it has been a dream of mine to breed another 'perfect' childs pony !
As a small British breeder, I am very proud of Goldie and the fact that he is British bred from 'Top' British bloodlines and will continue our countries proven tradition of producing child friendly Sportsponies.
